‘Days Gone’ – Supports 60fps And 4K Via Free PlayStation 5 Update

Days Gone will enjoy a number of substantial enhancements on PlayStation 5 via a free update. Developer SIE Bend Studio confirmed that we’ll be able to experience the post-apocalyptic biker adventure at higher framerates and resolution, thanks to dynamic 4K and 60 frames per second.

For those that aren’t entirely aware what “dynamic” 4K means, the resolution of the game will shift up and down depending on how demanding any given scene is in an effort to maintain consistent performance. Not too shabby for a free update, all things considered. Oh, and just like with the God Of War update, you’ll be able to transfer your saves from PlayStation 4 to the next-gen console so that you can start fresh with New Game Plus or just enjoy late-game content with enhanced framerates.

If you’re like me and have yet to actually play Days Gone, the PS5 launch could be the best time to get involved. The open-world zombie game will be one of the many classic PS4 titles available on the next-gen console from day one via the PlayStation Plus Collection, a smattering of free games for PS5 owners with a subscription to PS Plus.

Days Gone will be joined by the likes of God Of WarThe Last Of Us Remastered, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Until Dawn. The vast majority of games in the PlayStation Plus Collection have already received updates ahead of the PS5 launch later this month, and will boast enhanced loading times and other souped-up features.
