The maximum we had gone closer when we saw these ideas become reality was cartoons and, sometimes, films from the Sci-Fi until now where AirCar has become the first floating car, a flying car had always been confined to the realms of our own imagination. This two-mode car-aircraft reaching the international airport in Bratislava on 28 June was a major development milestone on a 35-minute flight from International Airport Nitra.
Features of the Flying Car
As can be seen from the video, the AirCar flying with sharp wings and rare blades like an airplane high up in the sky become a machine to be described as a large car. In less than three minutes, the company claims the transfer of an aircraft to a car.
The company reports that over 40 hours of tasting flights, including steep 45 degree turns and stability and maneuverability tests, were completed by the AirCar Prototype 1, which is equipped with the 160 HP-BMW engine with a fixed-propeller, ballistic parachute, and a local Civil Aviation Authority’s supervision. It has reached a maximum cruising speed of 190 km/h at a height of 8200 ft.
The pre-produced model of AirCar Prototype 2, is equipped with an engine with a 300HP and is certified with the M1 road permit by EASA CS-23 aircraft. Prototype 2 is expected to have a cruise velocity of 300km/h and a range of 1000km with its variable pitch propeller.
