Marvel and Netmarble have teamed up again for Marvel Future Revolution, which marks Marvel’s first foray into the multiplayer open-world action role-playing game (ARPG) mobile market after the success of Marvel Future Fight.
The game follows the convergence of multiple realities that threatens the future of primary Earth, with an all-new origin storyline. Vision sacrifices himself to merge the converging Earths peacefully together in order to prevent the destruction of all of these realities.
As a result, multiple regions from other realities have been transplanted to primary Earth, including the Hydra Empire, Midgardia, New Stark City, Sakaar, and Xandearth.
Given that this is a Marvel game, expect to see familiar superhero faces. Players can choose from eight playable characters in this open-world ARPG, including Captain America, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Widow, Star-Lord, and Storm.
Players will be able to mix and match costumes for their character’s body, hands, legs, head, and even hairstyle in the game, which will feature over 400 million possible combinations per hero.
Special Operations, a four-player PvE mode, Blitz; Omega War, a 10-versus-10 PvP mode; and Dark Zone, a real-time massive free-for-all combat between 50 players, are among the game modes that encourage multiplayer chaos.
The game’s creators, Danny Koo and Joe Lee, explained that their goal is to provide a more diverse experience for fans all over the world, both gamers and non-gamers alike. The game, which is built on Unreal Engine 4, is likely one of their most ambitious projects to date.
