Netflix Has Released The First Trailer For Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

We’ve already seen the official trailer for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which offered us a taste of what to expect when the game is released. Netflix has now provided an opening clip for the upcoming series set in Capcom’s horror realm, giving us a better idea of what to expect.

The Mad Dogs military team witnesses the crash of their comrade’s chopper in the three-minute video. Instead of standing by for orders, the squad goes against protocol to hunt something on the ground, only to be shot down by a civilian with a bazooka. There are no zombies in the reel, so the streamer is probably reserving the best portion of the action for the actual event.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which was originally designed as a film, is now an animated series directed by Eiichiro Hasumi. Following the zombie takeover in Racoon City as seen in the Resident Evil 2 remake, it will have two different outbreaks and star the classic Leon and Claire combination, with Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello reprising their roles as Leon and Claire.

The series will premiere on Netflix on July 8, 2021, and it will not be the only Resident Evil adaptation in the works. Aside from Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, a live-action Netflix series starring two Wesker kids is also in the works.
