New cast members join the revival of The Sex and the City

The return of The Sex and the City is just around the corner, and fans are ecstatic! According to Deadline, Christopher Jackson and LeRoy McClain have joined the cast of And Just Like That… in recurring roles. Jackson previously performed in the Broadway production of Hamilton, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award, McClain previously worked on the highly acclaimed and Emmy-nominated series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

According to the article, Christopher Jackson will play Herbert Wexley, “a successful Manhattan hedge fund financier” in And Just Like That… Nicole Ari Parker will play Lisa Todd Wexley, a “documentarian and mother of three,” in the film.

On the other side, LeRoy McClain will play Andre Rashad Wallace, a “successful musician.” Karen Pittman, who will play Dr. Nya Wallace, “a Columbia law professor,” will feature with McClain. According to the article, Parker and Pittman and Sarita Choudhury joined the cast of And Just Like That… in July.

‘And Just Like That…’ is the title of the revival of Sex and the City

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) will navigate friendship in their 50s in the forthcoming SATC remake, titled And Just Like That… According to the source, filming for the new program began last month in New York City. The ten-episode revival will be directed by Micahel Patrick King, who will also serve as executive producer.

According to reports, fan-favorite Chris Noth, who played Mr. Big, Carrie’s love interest, will return in the forthcoming revival. Even though the anticipated resurrection of Sex and the City would involve three of the original show’s key performers, namely Parker, Nixon, and Davis, the program will not include Kim Cattrall, who portrayed Samantha Jones.

Several stories indicate that Cattrall has publicly acknowledged difficulties and bullying on set, stating that Sarah Jessica Parker treated her badly throughout her tenure on the program. As a result, the actress has decided not to return for the revival.
