Tony Hawk recently sold 100 skateboards that had his blood on them.

Tony Hawk wants to sell you his own blood in the form of a skateboard. Hawk has teamed up with Liquid Death, a water and merchandise company, for a limited run of skateboards with Hawk’s blood mixed into the deck paint.

This promotion will include 100 skateboards, each with “a vial’s worth of Hawk’s DNA” embedded in the deck paint, according to Input Mag. The decks were designed as a very appropriately red-forward advertisement for the subscription-based water sellers and sold for $500 each through Liquid Death.

The Liquid Death Skateboard is “infused with 100 percent real Tony Hawk,” according to the sale page.

A portion of the proceeds from each board will be donated to 5 Gyres, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to reducing plastic consumption and pollution, as well as Hawk’s public skatepark fund, The Skateboard Project.

Unfortunately, the 100 bloody skateboards were already sold out at the time this article was written.
“I’m grateful to have a connection with my fans, and I love how Liquid Death connects with theirs,” Hawk said. “Because I literally put my blood (and soul?) into these decks, this collaboration is taking those connections to a whole new level.”
